Chapter 9 / Using the Legal–Safety–Productivity Lens to Adapt Roles

Course Objective:

This crash course gives employers and managers a simple decision-making lens for reviewing jobs and tasks: what is fixed by law, what is fixed by safety, and what can still be adapted to improve inclusion and performance.

Target Audience:

Employers, managers, HR professionals, supervisors, and operational leads responsible for role design or task allocation.

Learning Outcomes.

After the course, the learner can:

  • Apply the legal–safety–productivity lens to a role or workflow.
  • Distinguish essential requirements from assumptions or habits.
  • Identify where practical flexibility is possible without undermining core outcomes.
  • Use role analysis to make more realistic inclusion decisions.
  • Translate abstract inclusion goals into concrete workplace adjustments.
