Course Objective
To equip university students with the knowledge and tools to recognize barriers to inclusion in internships and co-create roles that align with their strengths, needs, and preferred working styles.
Target Audience
University students (EQF Level 5–6), especially those preparing for internships or part-time work, including students with neurodivergence, mental health challenges, or learning differences.
Format: Fully online, accessible, and self-paced or blended.
Learning Outcomes
After completing the course, the learner can:
- Identify common environmental and task-related barriers to inclusion in internships.
- Apply strategies to customize tasks, pacing, and communication styles to improve role fit.
- Use feedback loops to co-design inclusive roles with supervisors or mentors.
- Recognize inclusive design principles and how they benefit all learners.
- Create a simple plan for advocating adjustments in future internship settings.
Duration
6–8 hours total
Delivered over 2 half-day sessions or asynchronously in short sections.

None. The course is designed to be inclusive and accessible to all students, regardless of prior internship experience or learning background.
