ABOUT COHESION
The COHESION project (Inclusion of the Students with Trauma and Neurological Disorders into Employment for Social Cohesion of Refugees and Host Communities) is a European strategic partnership initiative co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union under Grant Agreement No. 2023-1-PL01-KA220-HED-00016581
PROJECT CONTEXT AND RATIONALE Higher education institutions and the labor market across the European Union face a growing imperative to implement systemic, evidence-based solutions for integrating students and graduates affected by trauma and neurodevelopmental conditions (including Autism Spectrum, ADHD, Dyslexia, and PTSD). The challenges are further compounded within refugee populations and host communities, where trauma intersects with structural integration barriers.
CORE OBJECTIVES
WP2 – Analytical Framework & Methodology: Establishing a validated diagnostic baseline and cross-border methodology to identify skill-to-role matches and workplace barriers.
WP3 – Private Sector Capacity Building: Equipping employers, HR specialists, and managers with actionable tools, non-discriminatory recruitment frameworks, and workplace adaptation protocols.
WP4 – Student Empowerment & Transition: Delivering targeted capacity-building resources for neurodivergent students and trauma survivors to streamline higher education to labor market transition.
WP5 – Institutional Dissemination & Sustainability: Building scalable digital infrastructure (Learning Hive) and executing cross-national dissemination to ensure long-term policy impact.
